Annual General Meeting: 30th anniversary year with solid results and strong growth trajectory
Thirty years of company history, solid financial results and a clear commitment to the continued expansion of renewable energy: these were among the key topics at the Annual General Meeting held on 26 June at the Stockerau event centre. In line with our 360-degree sustainability strategy, the event was held as a Green Event for the first time. Despite the intense heat, a total of 305 shareholders attended or were represented. Together, they represented 122,671 shares, corresponding to 33.6% of the share capital of Windkraft Simonsfeld AG.

Chief Technical Officer Markus Winter and Chief Financial Officer Alexander Hochauer presented the results for the 2025 financial year as well as the company’s long-term growth strategy. For three decades, Windkraft Simonsfeld has been committed to expanding renewable energy, supported by broad public participation and a clear vision of an independent, climate-friendly domestic energy supply.
Solid results in a challenging market environment
Despite below-average wind conditions and a challenging market environment, Windkraft Simonsfeld can look back on a financially successful year. During the reporting year, the Group’s 97 wind and photovoltaic power plants generated a total of 652.9 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity – enough to supply more than 163,000 households with clean, locally generated energy. Windkraft Simonsfeld generated revenue of €57 million and a consolidated net profit after tax of €12.3 million.

“The 2025 financial year demonstrates how important economic stability, sustainable business practices and long-term investment capacity are in a challenging market environment. We are consistently pursuing our growth strategy and, in doing so, making a tangible contribution to climate protection, regional value creation and security of supply in Austria,” emphasised Chief Financial Officer Alexander Hochauer.
Strong project portfolio for the energy transition
The expansion of renewable energy remains the company’s core strategic objective. One wind farm is currently under construction in Austria, six further projects have already received approval at first or second instance, and eight additional wind farms are currently undergoing approval procedures. Together, these projects have an annual generation potential of around 1.2 terawatt-hours of electricity – enough to supply more than 300,000 households. Windkraft Simonsfeld is also continuing to expand its activities in photovoltaics and energy storage. Another milestone was reached this year with the commissioning of the company’s first photovoltaic park in Austria, located in Ernstbrunn. Work on the energy transition is also progressing rapidly in the company’s existing international markets of Romania, Bulgaria, France and Slovakia. In France, the current focus is on agri-PV, while in the other countries, as in Austria, the focus is on hybrid parks. “Our project portfolio demonstrates the enormous potential for expanding domestic renewable energy. Approval procedures, grid expansion and the political framework must now keep pace with the expansion targets,” explained Chief Technical Officer Markus Winter.

One billion euros for a secure and independent domestic energy supply
By 2030, Windkraft Simonsfeld plans to invest around €1 billion in the further expansion of wind power, photovoltaics and energy storage solutions. The aim is to increase annual electricity generation to around two terawatt-hours and, in future, supply approximately 500,000 households with clean, locally generated energy.
“These investments strengthen Austria as a business location, create long-term jobs and make a significant contribution to an independent, secure and domestic energy supply,” Winter emphasised.
Public participation continues to grow
Interest in investing in Windkraft Simonsfeld also continues to increase. In the 2025 financial year, the number of shareholders reached a new record of 2,702. At the same time, 17% more shares were purchased than in the previous year, the total trading volume increased to €3.4 million, and the average share price stood at €427.10.

“Public participation has been a central pillar of Windkraft Simonsfeld for 30 years. It combines financial participation with strong regional roots and helps build trust in the continued expansion of renewable energy. The fact that so many people now hold shares in our company confirms the long-term strength of our model,” explained Hochauer.
Dividend and resolutions of the Annual General Meeting
In line with the joint proposal of the Management Board and Supervisory Board, the Annual General Meeting approved a dividend of €13 per share. The dividend will be paid on 1 July 2026. All other proposed resolutions on the agenda were also approved by an overwhelming majority.
Following the official part of the meeting, shareholders marked Windkraft Simonsfeld’s 30th anniversary year with a relaxed get-together.
