Capital Shapes the Future

Climate neutrality requires more than technological innovations and a supportive policy framework—above all, it requires substantial investment. Capital markets play a central and key role in this process. They help determine which business models will grow and which will lose significance.

While the risks associated with fossil-fuel-based business models are on the rise, renewable energy is experiencing dynamic growth worldwide. Investments in sustainable technologies and infrastructure are no longer a niche topic but a central pillar of economic sustainability.

Transformation Despite Headwinds

We are currently experiencing geopolitical tensions, economic pressures, and intense debates surrounding ESG criteria and regulatory frameworks. Yet despite these headwinds, the transformation is moving forward.

In many countries, CO₂ emissions are already declining or have peaked. At the same time, analyses of the past ten years show that sustainable financial products have been able to achieve returns comparable to—and in some cases even better than—those of traditional investments. Sustainability and economic success are not mutually exclusive.

Thinking Holistically About Responsibility

For us at Windkraft Simonsfeld AG, it is essential to raise awareness not only externally but also internally. Anyone actively shaping the energy transition should understand how financial flows influence our future.
