Inspiring insights at the Awareness Talk with UNICEF
We recently held another one of our Awareness Talks. This time, we welcomed Christoph Jünger, Executive Director of UNICEF Austria. In his presentation, he gave an impressive insight into UNICEF's global aid projects, with a particular focus on our joint cooperation in Malawi.
Clean water for up to 6,000 people
Our joint three-year project with UNICEF in Malawi has been running since 2023. The aim is to set up solar-powered water systems to improve access to clean and safe drinking water in the region in the long term. This supply is a basic prerequisite for health, education and development – and thus a decisive contribution to the future of children and their families.
A global mission
UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund, is active in over 190 countries. Since its foundation in 1946, UNICEF has been committed to ensuring that every child – regardless of origin, religion or political beliefs – can grow up healthy, go to school and be protected from violence and exploitation. The organisation provides children with vaccinations, clean drinking water and food, builds schools, provides emergency aid in crisis regions and campaigns politically for children's rights. This makes UNICEF one of the largest and most effective children's aid organisations worldwide, working day after day to give millions of children a better life and a more hopeful future.
