Klement:
Modules installed & electrical work underway

Eight weeks ago, we began construction of our new photovoltaic system in Klement, in the market town of Ernstbrunn. Since then, 1,360 solar modules have been installed in 15 rows. The electrical connections to the transformer will be completed in the coming weeks. The PV power plant will be operational in a few days.

“A particular challenge was anchoring the mounting structures in the ground, because at this site—a former excavation spoil dump—we were only allowed to anchor them to a maximum depth of half a meter,” explains project manager Christian Harrach. The posts were anchored using a special design that takes root in the ground like a tree with multiple branches.

The generated electricity will be fed into the grid via a substation built last year by EVN Netz GmbH. The plant has an installed rated capacity of 973 kWp and a maximum feed-in capacity of 500 kW. Electrify GmbH from Wolkersdorf has been commissioned with the detailed planning and implementation. The first solar power is expected to flow into the grid in May.
