Movie night at the Wind power Simonsfeld
Focus on the transport and energy transition

A city without cars? An island where people only get around on foot, by bike or electrically? What sounds like a vision of the future today is already a reality in some regions. The documentary “Der automobile Mensch” by Reinhard Seiß makes it impressively clear that the transport revolution is not only necessary, but long overdue - and that we already have the solutions to implement it.
At yesterday's cinema evening organized by Windkraft Simonsfeld, we had the opportunity to take a closer look at these issues together with interested guests. The film not only showed what opportunities and possibilities there are for shaping sustainable mobility, but also allowed us to critically reflect on what decisions could have been made differently in the past.
Transport transition & energy transition
The transport transition is closely linked to the energy transition: Both have the common goal of replacing fossil fuels with renewable energies, drastically reducing CO₂ emissions and thus ensuring a future worth living. The film made it clear once again that there is no lack of technological solutions - but rather a lack of political decisions to implement them consistently.
