New Solar Farm in Ernstbrunn Now Operational

On May 27, 2026, the big day finally arrived: Employees of Netz Niederösterreich inspected and approved the electrical system of our new solar power plant in Klement (in the municipality of Ernstbrunn) and activated the connection to the public power grid. Since 1:00 p.m., the photovoltaic power plant has been feeding electricity into the grid, thereby contributing to regional energy security.

Construction of the new photovoltaic system in Klement, in the market town of Ernstbrunn, began just under three months ago. A total of 1,360 solar modules were installed in 15 rows. The system has an installed capacity of approximately 1 MWp. Electrify GmbH from Wolkersdorf was commissioned to handle the detailed planning and implementation. The electricity generated is fed into the grid via a substation operated by Netz Niederösterreich that was built last year.

“The electricity is flowing, but the system is currently still in trial operation,” explains project manager Christian Harrach, outlining the next steps: “All modules are being checked for optimal functionality using thermal imaging cameras, and we are also testing the inverters. Minor finishing work will be carried out in the coming weeks, after which we will officially take over the system from the general contractor as part of a technical audit.”
