The installation of solar panels in Klement is proceeding as

scheduled

Solar panels have been installed at our photovoltaic power plant in Klement, in the market town of Ernstbrunn, for the past few days. The first solar power will be fed into the local power grid as early as April.

Site manager Christian Harrach is very satisfied with the progress of the work: “The installation team is working very efficiently, so we’re well on schedule and will complete the installation of the modules in the coming days.” This will be followed by the wiring and connection of the inverters, for which the area is being prepared with fences for the planned sheep grazing.

Sheep grazing provides agricultural benefits and ensures the land is properly maintained. The solar modules are elevated above the natural meadow and allow enough light to pass through so that the plants below can grow. An important side effect is the shade they provide during periods of intense heat and the protection they offer against the negative effects of heavy rain.

The electricity is fed into a local substation operated by EVN Netz GmbH. The system has an installed rated capacity of 973 kWp and a maximum feed-in capacity of 500 kW. Electrify GmbH, a Weinviertel-based company headquartered in Wolkersdorf, was commissioned to handle the detailed planning and implementation. The turnkey handover of the system is scheduled for April.
