Together for Climate Action at the Vienna Climate Run 2026
Climate action brings people together, and together we can make a real difference! That is why we were once again proud to be a main sponsor of the Vienna Climate Run this year. On 26 September 2026, Vienna's Prater Hauptallee was once again transformed into a running course for a good cause. We also took part with a motivated team, joining forces to protect our forests and contribute to climate action.

At Windkraft Simonsfeld, we work every day towards a sustainable energy future. But climate action goes far beyond the expansion of renewable energy. Protecting our forests, preserving biodiversity and raising awareness are also important building blocks for a liveable future. That is why we support initiatives such as the Vienna Climate Run, which bring people together and demonstrate how every individual can make a contribution.
Collecting Kilometres and Protecting Forests Together
As a main sponsor, it was particularly important to us this year not only to support the event but also to actively participate ourselves. Together, we collected kilometres and once again demonstrated how much fun it can be to take action for the climate as a team.
And the effort paid off: This year's Vienna Climate Run helped protect a total of 10,853 m² of forest in Austria and 4,346 m² of rainforest in Costa Rica. In addition, 20,730 m² of bee-friendly meadows were protected. An impressive result to which all participants contributed with the kilometres they ran.
Climate Action Thrives on Participation
The Vienna Climate Run combines physical activity, team spirit and active climate protection in a special way. It is precisely this combination that makes the event so valuable to us. After all, we can only tackle the challenges of the climate crisis together. This requires not only innovative technologies and the consistent expansion of renewable energy, but also people who get involved and take responsibility.
