Run, protect the climate and make a difference together: on 26 September 2026, the Vienna Climate Run returns for another round. Windkraft Simonsfeld will once again be taking part as a main sponsor – and we warmly invite everyone who loves running, as well as those who would like to start, to join us.

Climate action needs movement – quite literally. That is exactly what the Vienna Climate Run is all about: combining sport, fun and joint commitment to inspire people to take action for the climate and the protection of ecosystems.
On Saturday, 26 September 2026, it will once again be time to lace up your running shoes and head to Vienna’s Prater. On a 1.5- or 3-kilometre course, participants can complete as many laps as they like within different time slots. It is not about achieving the fastest time – every single step counts. The laps completed help protect valuable forest areas in Austria or rainforest in Costa Rica. Part of the entry fee also supports a social climate protection project in South Sudan.

Anyone who cannot be in Vienna on 26 September can also take part in this year’s Virtual Climate Run: from 16 to 26 September, participants can run or walk flexibly from anywhere and make their own contribution to climate action.
