Windkraft Simonsfeld AG and Jungbunzlauer Austria AG Extend Electricity Supply Agreement
Since 2024, Windkraft Simonsfeld has been supplying the Jungbunzlauer plant in Pernhofen (Lower Austria) with clean energy under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The partnership has now been extended for another 3 years.

Clean, locally generated wind power from our Poysdorf III wind farm for Jungbunzlauer AG
“Since the beginning of our partnership, we have been supplying renewable, locally generated energy from the Poysdorf III wind farm to the Pernhofen plant (Lower Austria), thereby supporting a leading manufacturer of biodegradable ingredients on its path to decarbonization. I am very pleased that we are continuing on this path together,” emphasizes Markus Winter, Chief Technology Officer at Windkraft Simonsfeld.
A Key Lever for Decarbonization
Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) are a key lever for the decarbonization of industry. These long-term electricity supply contracts offer both electricity consumers and producers stable prices as well as planning and supply security, thereby making an important contribution to securing business locations and jobs.
The current geopolitical situation demonstrates once again: Renewable energy is not only a matter of climate protection, but also of security of supply and the competitiveness of our business location.
