Windkraft Simonsfeld publishes

sustainability report

From the outset, Windkraft Simonsfeld has stood for consistent climate protection and the commitment to implementing 360-degree sustainability across all departments and throughout the company. We provide information about our sustainability performance with the greatest possible transparency.

Sustainability is part of Windkraft Simonsfeld's identity
‘For us, sustainable business practices are not just lip service, but part of our identity,’ emphasises Chief Financial Officer Alexander Hochauer. ‘Only by ensuring the greatest possible transparency and acting consistently in a sustainable manner can we create the basis for future-proof, environmentally friendly business practices. We want to play a pioneering role in this area.’

Windkraft Simonsfeld is not currently required to submit a formal sustainability report in accordance with CSRD and EU Taxonomy Regulation. Nevertheless, the company has now published a sustainability report for 2024 in accordance with the VSME standard, which was developed for medium-sized companies that are not listed on the stock exchange. The report has been audited by HLB auditors.

Reporting on comprehensive sustainability performance
This report documents Windkraft Simonsfeld's comprehensive sustainability performance in the areas of corporate governance, the environment and social issues. ‘We are setting standards here that go far beyond legal obligations. The effort involved is also worthwhile for us: we gain valuable insights into our company and relevant core processes, identify potential for improvement and build up internal expertise,’ says Chief Technology Officer Markus Winter.

In order to make the economy resilient in the face of major global challenges, economic decisions can no longer be viewed in isolation. ‘The impact of business activities on the entire environment must be taken into account. Capital must flow in the long term to where companies operate most consistently in a sustainable manner. In the energy sector, this means investing in renewable energies rather than fossil fuels,’ says Hochauer.
