FIABCI Prix d'Excellence honours particularly innovative and sustainable projects
The renowned FIABCI Prix d'Excellence is awarded every two years to outstanding architectural projects with particularly innovative and sustainable overall concepts. "The expansion of the Simonsfeld wind power headquarters impresses with the highest quality in terms of resource conservation and sustainability. The uncompromising realisation of the resource-conserving project will be reflected not only in the ecological balance sheet over the entire life cycle, but also in the high quality of use and economic sustainability," says jury chairman Hannes Horvat. The strategy of creating a building that is coherent for Green Jobs was also confirmed with 1000/1000 points at the Klimaaktiv Gold standard.

Lighthouse project for 360-degree sustainability
"We have realised an ecological lighthouse project that is uncompromisingly 360-degree sustainable and has been implemented to a high architectural standard. The building is a statement for the philosophy of our company. We wanted to be pioneers here and set new standards," says Alexander Hochauer, CFO of Windkraft Simonsfeld.

"With the expansion, we are not only investing in the climate and energy transition, but also in attractive green jobs and modern apprenticeships and in a secure, sustainable energy supply. The award is an incentive for us to consistently pursue this path," says Markus Winter, Chief Technology Officer at Windkraft Simonsfeld.

The project was planned by the architectural firm Juri Troy ZT GmbH under the project management of M.O.O.CON. "We were convinced from the outset that we could create something extraordinary together with Windkraft Simonsfeld. This has been achieved in a special way and is confirmed by the awards," says architect Juri Troy.
